Honouring the Natural Rhythms of Our Energy: Why Do You Frequently Become Your Frequency?

I’ve been reflecting a lot lately on how my energy fluctuates from day to day. This year, I’ve committed to meditating every morning before I even get out of bed. Some days, I sink in effortlessly, getting lost in the stillness, while other days, I’m half asleep, struggling to stay present. My mind races before I’ve even opened my eyes—thoughts of unfinished tasks from yesterday or everything I need to do today flood my brain.

I often ask myself: Why is it so different from one day to the next? These shifts have made me more aware of how our energy is influenced by so many factors. It’s not just about how we feel or what we’ve been through in the past, but also the forces at play within us and those around us.

Astrology plays a BIG role!

One of the reasons I love astrology is how it helps me understand these energetic fluctuations. The moon’s cycles, planetary movements, and even the seasons all have an undeniable impact on our moods and energy levels. I’ve become more attuned to how certain days—like those leading up to a new moon—tend to feel more introspective, while full moons bring a surge of clarity and energy.

Being in the Aquarius New Moon energy right now, I feel its influence deeply. 2025 has been cosmically busy, leading to big shifts in mood, emotions, and energy levels from day to day. Even the difference between being in Mexico, with its slow-paced beach life, and Toronto, with its fast-paced city vibe, has a clear reflection on my energy. It’s fascinating how much our environment and the cosmic cycles shape how we experience the world.

But beyond the stars, there are more grounded, natural rhythms at play. Our hormonal cycles, the delicate balance between our masculine and feminine energies, and even the changing seasons shape how we move through the world. There are days when I feel action-oriented—fueled by productivity and drive. On others, it’s about slowing down, reflecting, and being present. These are the days I need to listen more deeply to my body and lean into mindfulness.

The Dance Between Energies: Masculine and Feminine

It’s a delicate dance between the masculine energy of productivity and the feminine energy of receptivity, flow, and presence. Some days, we need the momentum of action to get things done. Other days, the energy calls for stepping back, reflecting, and reconnecting with our inner selves. Over time, I’ve learned that both are necessary for balance and growth, and neither is more important than the other.

As much as I’d love to have a perfectly structured day every day, I recognize that this isn’t always realistic—especially for those working in structured environments, like corporate roles. Not every day can be divided into clear segments of focused work, movement, or rest. Life, especially in today’s fast-paced world, has a way of throwing curveballs. Unexpected events like meetings, deadlines, or banking issues can disrupt even the best-laid plans.

Embracing Fluidity and Awareness

What I’ve learned, though, is that honoring the energy I have in each moment is far more important than trying to maintain a rigid structure. Some days, productivity flows effortlessly, and other days, I need to honor the slower pace of rest and reflection. The key is awareness—being aware of where your energy is at any given moment and giving yourself the grace to adjust accordingly.

On high-energy days, I dive into the work that needs to get done. On slower days, I embrace the pause, focusing on self-care, journaling, or meditation. And when life feels chaotic, I turn to grounding techniques to center myself. Whether it’s through yoga, visualization, or just taking a deep breath and checking in with myself, I know these tools will bring me back into balance.

The Magic of Balance

Ultimately, I think the magic lies in the balance between these energies. Some days are for pushing forward; others are for taking a step back and reflecting. This constant shifting is a natural part of the flow, and embracing it with awareness helps us navigate the ever-changing landscape of our lives.

Most of all, we need to be kind and compassionate with ourselves. This awareness is key—because we can’t change our schedule to suit our vibe. Instead, we need to recognize when something that was easy the day before is challenging today, and understand that it’s not necessarily a bad day; we’re simply not in energetic alignment with the tasks at hand.

This becomes especially tricky when dealing with others—spouses, children, coworkers, clients—whose energies also need to find a way to work together. The Aquarius energy we’re in right now calls on us to embrace our unique selves, and part of that involves honoring our own energetic shifts, as well as those around us. By cultivating awareness, we can give ourselves grace to honour how we’re feeling in the moment, rather than pushing through when we’re out of alignment.

Reflect on Your Own Energy Patterns

I’d love to invite you to reflect on your own energy patterns. Do you notice how different influences—cosmic, hormonal, or even just the way your day unfolds—shape how you feel? We all experience these fluctuations, and the more we can tune into them, the better we can move through life with grace and awareness. And most importantly, let’s give ourselves permission to honor where we’re at, no matter what the day brings.

Sending you so much love, light & New Moon 🌙 blessings!
