From Corporate VP to Healer: My Journey to Begin Again

Today, as I celebrate my birthday, I want to share a little more about myself, my journey, and how The Power to Begin Again came to life. My work is all about helping others overcome fear, embrace change, and find their purpose. Why? Because I’ve been on that journey myself—facing doubts, fears, and the unknown to create a life aligned with my soul.

For those who love astrology, I’m a Capricorn Sun, Taurus Moon, and Sagittarius Rising, with a Grand Earth Trine in my chart. This seagoat crave’s stability, foundation, and balance. If anyone struggles with change, it’s me. Yet, my path has been all about stepping into change—even when it was terrifying and uncomfortable.

Leaving a 17-year corporate career and starting over wasn’t easy, but it was the most empowering decision of my life. It allowed me to rediscover my purpose and embrace the power to begin again.

My Journey to Begin Again

For 17 years, I thrived in the corporate world, working my way up to become Vice President of Hermès Canada. On the surface, it all looked glamorous—constant travel, fashion shows, buying trips, parties, and career success. But behind the scenes, I was on calls from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., always stressed on edge, and often unsure which city I was waking up in.

I poured everything into my career, but it came at a cost. My personal life took a backseat, and my job became my identity. Failed relationships, a miscarriage, and health struggles were all consequences of putting work first. I had lost myself in the process, and the longer I stayed, the more disconnected I felt from my soul’s purpose.

When I reflected on my mother’s life. She had been sick for much of my childhood and passed away at just 57 years old. Her early death made me question why I was waiting to truly live. What if I never got the chance to retire or pursue my dreams?

The breaking point came in 2021, my sister and her family moved to Mexico, selling everything to start fresh. As happy as I was for them, their departure left me feeling deeply alone. It also sparked a realization: life wasn’t all about work. It was time for me to start living.

Finding the Courage to Leap

I’ve always been drawn to spirituality—psychics, astrology, card readings—but it wasn’t until early 2021 that things truly began to shift. I experienced Reiki for the first time, and it sparked something within me. I knew I wanted to learn Reiki and use it to help others.

Shortly after, an Angel card reading gave me the clarity I needed, and my healing journey began. Reiki became the foundation of my new path, opening doors to other modalities like crystal energy healing and Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT).

Walking away from a career that had defined me for 17 years wasn’t easy. It took six months of coaching to build the courage to give my notice. Even then, it felt like jumping off a cliff into the unknown.

But as I stepped into my new life, I realized I wasn’t falling—I was flying. I became a Reiki Master and Teacher and launched The Power to Begin Again. I started offering Angel Card readings and incorporating crystals into my Reiki sessions. In 2023, I expanded my practice by studying Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique and, by the end of the year, began creating and designing Reiki-Infused Crystal Jewellery.

Combining Coaching and Energy Healing

In September, as I prepared to move to Mexico for six months, my fears and doubts resurfaced with the prospect of begining again. During this time I took a coaching certification course and advanced my Reiki practice completing Reiki levels 8 and 9, becoming a Reiki Grandmaster. Combining Reiki with coaching has created a powerful foundation for my work.

Reiki clears energetic blockages and promotes balance, while coaching provides actionable steps and accountability. Together, they form a holistic approach to growth and transformation. Helping my clients overcome fears, gain clarity, and align with their purpose has become my passion.

A New Beginning

As I write this from Mexico, I am once again rewriting my story. Life is an ongoing journey of becoming, and when my time here is up, who knows what’s next? But one thing I’ve learned: you are never too old, too late, or too stuck to begin again.

Every challenge, every leap into the unknown, has brought me closer to living the life my soul craves.

The Choice Is Yours

Change is never easy, but it’s always worth it. Life will always challenge us, but these challenges are how we grow, evolve, and ultimately transform.

This morning, during a meditation, I received a message that deeply resonated:

“Choice is the most powerful thing we have. It can close an infinite number of doors or open an infinite number of doors.”

You are one choice away from the life of your dreams. If you’re feeling stuck, know that you’re not alone. Every day is a new opportunity to begin again.
